Midterm Idea & Process
For my midterm project, I would like to create a simple circuit without Arduino. I will make a simple lamp with soft circuit that operates with 3v batteries.
My idea for midterm comes from my hobby and interest. Baseball is my favorite sports since I was young, and I often go to baseball stadium to watch a ball game more than twice a month. Collecting sporting goods – Cap, jersey, equipments, bubbleheads, etc – is one of my enjoyments as well as rooting for my favorite team. Therefore, I would like to make a lamp that can be a memorable accessory for baseball fans.
My inspiration comes from baseball jerseys. Major League Baseball (MLB) has a history of more than 125 years and their uniform has been transformed in different shape and design in a long time. It was interesting to see timelines of MLB history and I especially paid attention to find trends and changes of uniforms by teams. After that, I designed MLB team’s baseball jersey for fun with Illustrator.
I made a prototype and tested it. This circuit worked, but the biggest problem was that LED wasn’t bright enough to lighten the room. I’m seeking for major cause and trying to fix it.
