Thermochromic Paint

  1. For the first iteration, I decided to spray a pint of thermochromic powder onto paper and glue, and see if the heating effect would still work; it did:

  2. Then, I used different color bases and different color thermochromic pigments to see what the entire CMYK would look like using thermochromic paint:

  3. I then decided to think conceptually. So, I made a large coaster that would brighten up with colorful spirals when a hot item is placed on it. I illustrated that effect using a blowdryer in this video:
  4. Finally, I enjoyed the idea of being able to make things vanish with heat, so I decided to use a sketch of a naked woman, and dress her up using thermochromic paint. When heat is applied onto the woman, her clothes go off:
